A community focused on happiness, education and belonging.
Welcome to Alkira Early Learning Centre
Alkira Early Learning Centre (Alkira ELC) is a nurturing community made up of children, their families, friends and our staff and educators. We aim to provide an environment where everyone will experience a sense of belonging. The development of secure, respectful relationships with families and the community is a core belief that underpins our Centre’s philosophy.
Under the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011, Alkira ELC is licensed to provide education and care to children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. Opening hours Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6pm. The service is proudly owned and operated by two local families.
The high-quality program provided at Alkira ELC is based on the intellectual pursuit of excellence in Early childhood Education and Care. Our educators and staff have a range of qualifications and experience and are extremely passionate about the education and care of young children. The Nominated Supervisor together with the Educational Leader of Alkira ELC guide educators to ensure all aspects of the program are of the highest standard.
The indoor learning spaces are complemented by a spacious outdoor learning environment where an emphasis is placed on nature-based experiences and environmental education. The children are placed in one of six playrooms and grouped by their age, developmental and learning abilities.
Family and educators’ interactions are an integral part to an effective program that brings the best results for each child. We look forward to working in partnership with you and your family to provide the best possible care and education for your child.
The Program – Underpinning our philosophy is an image of the child as being competent, full of possibilities and in charge of his/her own learning. The program at Alkira ELC will be reflective of this image of the child.
Food and Nutrition – We aim to foster an environment where children learn about nutritious foods and develop good eating habits. Our qualified chef ensures all children are provided with tasty and nutritionally balanced meals that meet the requirements and recommendations of the NSW Health Authority and the Australian Dietary Guidelines.
Hours of Operation – Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6pm.

Two (2) Days Per Week Policy
Each child must attend Alkira ELC for a minimum of two (2) days per week. From our professional experience anything less than this prevents children from settling and forming valuable bonds with their peers and teachers. It is also difficult for teachers to plan a suitable educational and developmental program if a child is only attending one (1) day per week.
